How does Playorb work?
Pick a mood and a session length. Playorb builds a queue that fits exactly that duration and starts playing. There’s no countdown on screen — the music runs the session. When the last track fades, you’re done.
You choose the mood from five options (Deep Focus, Creative Flow, Light Work, Late Night, Workout). The mood sets the visual theme for the session; the music comes from either the built-in Ambient library or, with Pro, from your own Apple Music library and playlists.
What can I do with the free version?
You can run full focus sessions with the built-in Ambient library, pick any of the 5 moods, earn coins after each session, and start collecting the 46 orbs. You also get session history and Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
The Ambient library requires Playorb Pro to download for offline use, and playing from your own Apple Music library needs Pro as well.
What do I get with Playorb Pro?
Playorb Pro is a one-time $3.99 purchase (no subscription). It unlocks:

What does Playorb Ultimate add?

Does Playorb work offline?
Yes, once your Ambient library is downloaded (with Pro or Ultimate). Playing from your Apple Music library requires the same connectivity Apple Music itself needs.
The session history, coin balance, and orb collection are always available offline — they live on your device.
What is an orb?
The orb is the sphere at the center of the session screen. There are 46 to collect, from a spinning vinyl to a black hole, plus PhotoOrb which uses a photo you choose. You earn coins after each completed session and spend them on new orbs.
Does Playorb store my music or photos?
No. Music is played by the system player through your Apple Music subscription — Playorb never touches audio files. Photos used as PhotoOrb are stored locally on your device only; no image is uploaded to any server.
Where does my session data live?
On your device. If you enable iCloud sync, it also syncs across your devices via Apple’s encrypted iCloud. You can disable sync any time from the app’s settings.
